This policy describes what 1Status stores about you, why, and what your choices are. Short version: we store what the service needs to run, and nothing more.
What we collect
Your account details (email address, display name, password hash), the monitors and settings you configure, check results and derived statistics, notification addresses you add, and the email addresses of status page subscribers.
How we use it
To run your checks, send the alerts you configured, show history and statistics, bill paid plans and answer your requests. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
We set one session cookie to keep you signed in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe on their own pages. Your card number never reaches our servers; we store only the card brand, the last four digits, the expiry date and the state of your subscription.
Email
We send transactional email only: alerts, verification codes, subscription confirmations and billing messages. Status page subscribers can unsubscribe with the link in every message.
Retention
Detailed check results are compacted into aggregates over time. Deleting a monitor removes its data, and deleting your account removes account data. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Sharing
Data goes to third parties only where the service needs it: the payment provider for billing, and email and messaging providers to deliver notifications. An address left on a status page also goes to the customer who runs that page; see below. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
Status page subscribers
A status page belongs to the customer who created it. If you subscribe to one, your email address is collected for them: they decide what the page says, they can read and export your address in their account, and they can use it to send you updates about that page. 1Status stores it and sends those messages on their behalf, and uses it for nothing else. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes the address.
Your rights
You can view and correct your data in the app, and request an export or the deletion of your account. Where the GDPR applies, you also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
